You need to have a heart of generosity to succeed in business. Be willing to give your services or products away, at the initial stage, to get orders. And be generous of your time (to a point) with your business contacts.
7. Low self-esteem.
If you suffer from low self-esteem, you’ll never feel comfortable charging what you are worth because you won’t feel worthy to charge it. If this continues, you’ll grow resentful of your customers (though it’s not their fault) and also of your business and eventually you could quit so work on ways to increase your self-esteem.
8 Lack of desire or hunger to succeed.
You have to want success as bad as you want oxygen to live . This way you’ll be ready to do whatever it takes, legally of course and you’ll be consistent in all your marketing efforts.
9.Intellectual or mental laziness.
You have to be willing and active in doing your own research and not always waiting for someone else to spoon feed you information.
10. A sense of entitlement and lack of integrity!
People who have a sense of entitlement live in their own little world where all that matters is what they want and how they see things. Carrying this personality trait into business means you’ll never see your customer’s point of view unless they are in agreement with you. You’ll often come across as rude and portray a nonchalant attitude towards your customers. This type of behavior will drive customers away. They may order from you once and never again. Just getting only one-off orders can hurt your business because the real money is in getting repeat orders over and over again.
If you have any of these traits, work on yourself to cultivate traits that will aid your success.
Lastly, integrity is paramount! Always do what you agreed with your client to do and do your work to a very high standard!
Always be improving..
